Finding the right crate size for your pets is a daunting task. Too small and airlines will not let you travel. So how can you tell if the crate you have is the right size?
- When your cat or dog sits up straight does their head touch the top of the crate? If so, the crate is too small, there must be clearance above the head
- Can your pet turn around fully and lie down? If they cannot turn around, the crate is too narrow.
- Is your pet a snub nose breed? Then there are much more complicated rules and your crate must be larger to allow sufficient air flow.
